Maureen Denise McCormick was born on the 5th of August 1956 in Woodland Hills California the youngest and only daughter of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. Her father taught at school, and her mom was a homemaker. Her older brothers are: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick was an accomplished entertainer and singer at an early age. She perform shows using puppets to entertain her friends. When McCormick was six years young, she took home the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency phoned to ask her if she'd be interested in entering show business. McCormick landed her first major job in 1964 when she starred in a commercial on television for Mattels latest doll, Baby Pattaburp. In the following year she appeared in the firm's Chatty Cathy Doll and was immediately chosen to play the La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp And ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick won a 1969 audition from 1,200 youngsters to be the youngest of three twins on the TV show The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson as a newlywed with Robert Reed. The show lasted five seasons. McCormick disclosed the story Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published in 2008) that McCormick nearly lost her Virginity to Barry Williams during the five-year run in the series. She was just 16 when the incident occurred and he was just 19. The timing would not have been ideal for us, she told me.
